WASH and Community Nutrition Project

This project aims to improve access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) while fighting malnutrition in rural communities in the Analamanga region.

Project Goals
- Improve access to drinking water and sanitation in targeted areas.
- Raise community awareness of good hygiene and nutrition practices.
- Strengthen the capacity of community water management committees.
- Reduce cases of water-related diseases and infant malnutrition.
Key Activities
- Construction and rehabilitation of community wells and latrines.
- Organization of workshops on handwashing and menstrual hygiene management (MHM).
- Establishment of school vegetable gardens to promote nutrition.
- Training of mothers on infant and young child feeding (IYCF).
Expected Results
By the end of the project, we anticipate a 70% increase in access to drinking water, a 40% reduction in waterborne diseases, and the empowerment of communities to sustainably manage their own WASH and nutritional infrastructures.
